__Don't miss our Exclusive 2-day Work-in-Progress Show & Workshops that will launch in conjunction with LASALLE's Open House! Featuring the works of Derrick Ng, Mandy Tan, Yang Xiuting and Michelle Lim and supported by LASALLE's Faculty of Fine Arts. Venue: Praxis Space, LASALLE College of the Arts Date: 13 (Fri) & 14 (Sat) January 2012 Time: 11am - 4 pm on both days _Argali Paper workshops (walk in)
1. Batik Paper Dyeing Workshop by Yang Xiuting, Outside Praxis Space Attendees will get to learn how to fold and then dye Argali paper to create beautiful one-of-a-kind patterned creations. The paper will need some time to dry, so attendees who are interested to have their work sent by post should leave their home address and pay a fee of $1.00. 2. Book Binding Workshop by Mandy Tan(Fri) & Michelle Lim(Sat), Praxis Space Attendees will create their own Argali Paper book covers by relief printing techniques and thereafter, learn how to do a running stitch down the middle of a text block to create a travel friendly A6 slim blank journal. 3. Silkscreen Demo by Karen Heng, Outside Praxis Space 10 am – 4pm, $0.50 per print Participants will get a chance to choose from the designs by Printmaking majors from Faculty of Fine Arts and print it on a postcard sized Argali Paper for keepsake. Alternatively, they can also bring their own surface (eg. Canvas bag, t-shirt,plastic folders) to be silkscreened on. Weixin's first Solo Exhibition opened this evening at TriSpace @ LASALLE College of the Arts. It featured her monoprints as well as some packaging design mounted on pedestals. Please come down and support our friend Weixin before the show closes on 27th April. After attending Xin's exhibition, we proceeded to stapling the booklets, as well as packed the materials for each participant for tomorrow's beads workshop at Mandy's space in LASALLE's Fine Arts Studio. Thank you Mandy for kindly lending us your space for a day!
Paritions had to be painted white over to cover the stained areas. Gaps had to be sealed with masking tape first before it all began. Start time: 5pm , End time: 9pm
It was a hectic day moving partitions borrowed from LASALLE's Faculty of Fine Arts studios to TBCC.
Thank you to our assistants Hazri and Mohammad for helping out at the last minute in hard hard work. The Infinite Supply Of II exhibition will feature extracts from the recent exhibition, as well as the addition of the digital prints by 2 photographers from the team, Emilia Lloret and Lucas Tan.
A Recycled Paper Beads Workshop will be conducted by members of Team Vidyalay on 9th April 2011 at 3pm. This is open to children from 4-11 years old. The exhibition and workshop is held in conjunction with the TBCC's Open House, which will flag off at VIVOCITY with the formation of a palm at 8.30am. Do come down to join and support us! |
